My name is Marsha Sink and I grew up in Lewisburg Ohio. My artistic and design interests range from making miniatures and dollhouses, which started in the 1970's to turning wooden bowls and wooden hollow form vessels now. I'm now combining my love for small things with my woodturning. Using mostly exotic woods I am making small bowls and vases (hollow forms) by layering woods that compliment each other and turning 1" to 5" bowls and hollow forms. The picture above shows some of my work with a Rainier Cherry to show scale. I am so very grateful to Gale Bigham for his generous spirit in sharing his time, knowledge, and techniques in woodturning. Gale has taught me to "let the piece of wood talk to me" to bring out the best features of the wood.
